The Windmill School

The Secretary of State for Education has approved plans to open The Windmill School at a location in Barnet. This will be a special free school for learners aged 5 to 18 years with a diagnosed autistic spectrum condition and an Education, Health & Care Plan. When full, it will offer places for 90 children and young people whose autism is the major barrier to their learning and who would find the busy environments of either mainstream or generic special schools too challenging.

Construction work on our permanent site at Moxon Street, High Barnet is progressing well. Works are due to be completed in February 2024. We are now able to confirm that The Windmill School will be located at Dollis Primary School in Pursley Road, NW7 from September 2023 until we are able to occupy our permanent site.
