Special Educational Needs
We can offer bespoke training opportunities to schools, settings and professional groups in several areas of specialism. At Oak Lodge there is recognition that many students with a Statement of Special Educational Needs present with multiple interwoven conditions that create a complex learning profile. Our highly trained staff have developed links with leading research departments, particularly in the fields of autism, Down Syndrome and Complex Learning Difficulties and Disabilities. They are able to tailor support that meets the specific training needs of your setting or service, be they for individuals, small or larger groups. The range of topics we can offer include:

Basic awareness of autism training in the context of the SCERTS model (appropriate for all teaching and non teaching staff including lunchtime staff)

We are also able to provide Health & Safety training for the classroom use of some machine tools by special arrangement.
