Year 6 Transition Arrangements

Secondary transition can feel like a time of great uncertainty. This is a big milestone in your child's education, so we will always offer support and answer questions that may arise.

Once Oak Lodge has been agreed for your child, we will send out a 'Transition Pack' that includes a prospectus and transition booklet. If you have not received your pack or would like further information, please email charlotte.charlesworth@oaklodgeschool.org. We will contact your child’s current school to find out more information and will continue to be in contact to set up an individual transition programme.

This year, we will start with 'virtual visits' to classes in the school over video link. We then invite new students to make individual visits to school in June. In early July there will be a whole school transition day, where all new students are invited to attend and meet their new teachers and classmates.
